Summer School at the Australian School of Business

 
 

The Australian School of Business is offering a large range of undergraduate and postgraduate business courses over the 2009-2010 summer. Summer School will allow you to:

We welcome students from other faculties and universities who are interested in studying a business course this summer. Please see the eligibility section below for details.

Study from anywhere

With a range of online business courses on offer you could technically study from the beach, park, at home or while touring through the US, Europe or Asia – provided you do some study in between taking photos of yourself outside of the Eifel Tower, Big Ben and the Colosseum. All Economics courses and one Banking and Finance course are offered online.

All courses that are not offered online will be held at our University of New South Wales Kensington campus within the Australian School of Business building. Please refer to our map for more details.

  1. Preference for enrolment will be given to UNSW and Australian School of Business students.
  2. Students may study a maximum of 12 units of credit during the Summer School.
  3. Courses with low enrolment numbers may be subject to cancellation closer to the date.

There are also a range of postgraduate business courses on offer during Summer School.

Fees

All students taking courses offered by the Australian School of Business during Summer School 2009/10 will be required to pay the full fee for the course. This includes CSP students who are studying at UNSW.

Undergraduate Courses Local student fees: $2,670 per 6 units of credit
Undergraduate Courses International student fees: $3,240 per 6 units of credit

# Please note that course: GENC5001 – Introduction to the Internet and Electronic Commerce is only available during Summer School. Current UNSW Commonwealth Supported students will be charged a Student Contribution amount at the 2010 rate.

Postgraduate Courses Local student fees: $2,580 per 6 units of credit
Postgraduate Courses International student fees: $3,270 per 6 units of credit

In addition, Australian Citizens and Humanitarian Visa holders will have the option to defer their tuition for Summer School under FEE-HELP. Eligible students should contact the Student Financials Office well before the relevant session Census date if they wish to defer their fees under FEE-HELP.

Eligibility

UNSW students

All UNSW students, both local and international, are eligible to complete Summer School courses within the Australian School of Business, providing they meet the course pre-requisites. 

Non UNSW students

Students from other recognised Australian universities may be eligible to complete Summer School courses within the Australian School of Business. Students will need to apply as cross-institutional students and will need to meet the course pre-requisites. Students must submit the home institution's written confirmation that the course(s) applied for will be credited towards their degree as part of the application.

Students who wish to study non-award may be eligible, providing they meet the course pre-requisites.
